Don't let the crumbs on the kitchen floor get the best of you!

We really enjoy cooking.  From prepping to the last bite of dessert, the entire process is a pleasure.  The only downfall is all of the clean up.  It’s bad enough that we have to wash the dishes, or at least load the dishwasher, but we always seem to end up with scraps on the floor.  A piece of cilantro here, a shaving of carrot there.  And then there are the pepper corn pieces that seem to jump right out of the grinder onto the floor.  While reading one of our favorite cleaning blogs the other day we were also reminded that sweeping the floors should be a daily chore, but who has time for that?

Oh, and did we mention the two year old?  More food falls from her high chair than actually makes it into her mouth.  We used to put down a plastic drop cloth under her chair and just throw it away after a meal, but that was creating a lot of waste.  In today’s world, we all try to be as kind to our environment as possible.  Between the time crunch and environmental concerns, we were going crazy trying to find a better solution.
